BioDoyle Shawn Carpenter, or Shawn as he refers to himself in his less pretentious moments, is a budding new fantasy author - if budding can be applied to a man of his advanced years without too damning a blush. His first novel, TIDE OF MAGIC, is best described as an Age of Sail naval adventure set in a world where magic works and is an integral part of daily life. Shawn's novel is represented by an accomplished literary agent and will be put before several publishers later this year.
A second book is already in the works and a series may follow, if the first is adequately received.
